Beginning Hand Piecing $35

This is a wonderful introductory class into the world of hand piecing.  You will learn how to make templates, mark your fabric, cut, and stitch, all by hand.  Make three common quilt blocks and learn to correctly stitch straight lines, curves and points. A good handwork project to keep tucked away in your bag for those ‘waiting room’ occasions.  This is truly for beginners, no experience required

Beginning Hand Embroidery  $20

5:30-8:30 Wednesday, July 21

Do you need something to do on these steamy summer evenings?  Pre-stamped embroidery blocks are perfect… other than the embroidery, most of the work is done for you.  Learn basic embroidery stitches and how to prepare your blocks, we will also talk about what to do with your blocks when you are done.  A true beginners class, no experience needed.

Adult Sewing for the Beginner  $25

You have a sewing machine in the closet, but have never learned how to use it???  We will teach you the basics of your machine and the fundamentals of sewing while making a set of pillow cases.  This class will give you confidence and we will be there to help you!  This is for the very beginner, sewing machine required

A new Quilted Garden Design made for Hoffman Fabrics spring market line.  Learn how to sew in four pockets in one step and insert a side panel.   When finished ( in class) you will have a very pretty bag.  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

Bring it on… all your scraps I mean!  We are going back in time and making a Scrap Quilt!  We will give you quilt block options to choose from, then learn how to draft that block in your desired size.  Make as many blocks as your scraps allow!!!  Basic quilting experience and rotary cutting tools required, no machine sewing in this class.

Leafy Sofa Pillow  $20

Wool… not just for cold, snow and army blankets.  Learn hand wool appliqué using pearle cotton floss, cotton fabrics and our beautiful wool to make this pretty sofa pillow. Basic quilting experience required.

Criss Cross Quilt  $35

A beautiful table topper or wall quilt that highlights your piecing skills.  Learn how to get perfect points when working with triangles!  Have fun playing with positive and negative color.  This is a great project for the intermediate quilter.  Quilting experience and sewing machine required.

Happy Zinnias Bolster Pillow  $25

It’s not too late to grow some zinnia’s and these don’t need watering.  Learn non-intimidating machine appliqué that just might make you an appliqué addict!  Join us to grow your garden.  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine with zigzag or appliqué stitch required.

Your 8-16 year old will learn how to make a bag to carry school books, sleep over clothes, or ‘those’ treasures in!  They will use the sewing machine and learn the basics on this fun project that will be their own.  No experience necessary.

Beginning Hand Quilting  $20

Traditional hand quilting is one of the most relaxing forms of hand work.  You will learn how to mark, layer, baste, load and hand quilt (rock the needle) on a small project that will prepare you for ‘that’ quilt in your future.  This is truly for beginners, no experience required.

Sassy Summer Tablerunner  $25

A bright and ‘sassy’ addition to your summer table décor.  This one has points, squares and centers to fussy cut or use a focus fabric just for fun!  Pre-cutting just may allow you to get this one done in class! Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

Twinkling Paisleys Quilt  $25

Learn this pretty split star block to showcase a  fabric – like paisleys!  This is a great project for the intermediate quilter to get helpful hints and tips on perfecting your cutting and piecing skills on those little points.   Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required

Your star point layers start with big squares and finish with a lovely stars.  This is a friendly project for a new quilter. You will get most of this quilt done in class!  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

This is a beginner’s class for you to will learn the basics of paper piecing and the perfection it guarantees.  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

Are you ready to learn to piece and quilt by machine, or just need a refresher course?  We will take you step by step through the entire process starting with how to choose your fabric, rotary cutting, machine piecing, layering, basting, quilting and binding a small quilt.  For the very beginner, sewing machine required

Cornflower Pillow $35

Take creative license with textured fabrics – velveteen, cotton/silk, corduroy, wool and trims.  We will create an artistic cornflower bloom on a pillow that is appealing to the eyes and soothing to the touch.  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

Bash Your Stash!  $25

We hear you, “I have enough fabric to last five lifetimes”.  Well, here is an awesome opportunity to USE IT UP!!!  A quarterly event since January 2009, this is how it works.  We create and teach a quilt that will use a combination of your stash and our fabrics.  Often times we will challenge you with fabric choices just to shake it up a bit.  This quarter’s project is a Whacky Square in a Square ... so start sorting your 4”-9” squares!  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

Liverpool Tunic Workshop   $40

9:00-4:00 Saturday, Sept 25

Are you ready to sew clothes???  We will make Amy Butler’s Liverpool Shirt/Tunic/Dress (you decide the length) from start to finish.  Learn little tips along the way to make this adorable top.  Pack a lunch, we will stop to eat!   Basic sewing experience and sewing machine required.
