    T & J’s BOM Quilt $10 per mo plus supplies

    10:00-11:00 3rd Saturdays, Jan 16-Dec18

    A great monthly gathering of friends old and new… this is the 6th BOM program Theresa has done, doesn’t that say a lot!  Learn awesome techniques, rules, ideas, tips, concepts… AND make a 3-D appliqué quilt.  This is a beginner friendly BOM!  Sessions are interactive lectures.

     

    Celebrate the Seasons BOM $10 per mo plus supplies

    1:00-2:00 3rd Saturday’s, Jan 16-Dec18

    Each month presents a 15” block that can be used alone in a wall hanging or at the end of the year put all 12 together and make a calendar quilt.  Seasonal appliqué set the theme for this intermediate level BOM.  Sessions are interactive lectures.

     

    Kids Klub- $60 

    12:30-4:00 Sundays, Jan 17, Feb 21, Mar 21

    Your 8-16 year old will learn how to make a quilt!  They will use the sewing machine and learn the basics on this fun project that will be their own.  No experience necessary.

    “Intrigued Quilt”  $25

    This is one of those quilts that looks complicated but is not, promise!  Simple piecing with a focus on layout will create ‘intriguing’ results.  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

    Beg Hand Piecing $40

    5:30-7:30 Mondays, Jan 25, Feb 8, 22

    This is a wonderful introduction class to the world of hand piecing.  You will learn how to make templates, mark your fabric, cut, and stitch.  You will make three common quilt blocks and learn not only straight lines, but curves and points as well.  It is always good to have a handwork project tucked away in your bag for those ‘waiting room’ occasions.  No experience needed, this is truly a beginning class.

    Beg Hand Applique $20

    5:30-8:30 Tues, Jan 26

    Learn the beauty and simplicity of hand appliqué including turning edges, inner and outer curves, dreaded points, layering, and the prep that goes with it all.  This is truly for beginners, no experience required.

     

    ‘Lamour’ Quilt $25

    Learn basic machine appliqué on this wall quilt that starts with a panel.  So cute!!!  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

     

    Machine Crosshatch Magic $20

    1:00-4:00 Sunday, Jan 31

    A common question - “how should I quilt this?”  Crosshatching by machine creates a beautiful design that sets off so many quilts… but how do keep those lines straight and what is the best way to mark it and how close together do you sew???  This class will address all those and you will actually make a small quilt to learn on.  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

     

    Beg Machine Quilting $50

    6:00-8:00 Tuesdays, Feb 2, 9, 16, 23

    Are you ready to learn to piece and quilt by machine, or just need a refresher course?  We will take you step by step through the entire process starting with how to pick out your fabric, rotary cutting, machine piecing, layering, basting, quilting and binding a small quilt.  For the very beginner, sewing machine required.

     

    Wool Jewels  $15

    5:30-7:30 Wednesday, Feb 3

    Wool – it’s not just for suit coats!!!  We will teach you how easy it is to work with this luscious fabric, embroidery floss, beads and basic jewelry making while creating a fun necklace to adorn your (it’s still winter) wardrobe.  No experience required.

     

    California Fans Quilt $40

    6:00-8:00 Thursday, Feb 4, 11, 25

    What a lovely quilt to learn, and perfect your curved piecing on!  We will walk you through each step of this quilt as we go.  Come see the stunning sample…  Intermediate quilting experience and sewing machine required.

     

    Multi Tasker Tote $35

    We love making bags and this tote will become a favorite!  There are lots of pockets for you to organize for all your multi-tasking needs.  Basic sewing experience and sewing machine required.

     

    Beg Paper Pieced Snowman $15

    We still get snow in February… so embrace and build a snowman the paper pieced way.  This is a beginner’s class where you will learn the basics of paper piecing and the perfection it guarantees.  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

     

    Sweatshirt Jacket $25

    9:00-1:00 Saturday, Feb 13

    Everyone loves a snuggly sweatshirt this time of year!  Let’s take one and create a lovely jacket that does not look like a sweatshirt when done.  You get to choose the style to make and we will teach you how to do it!  Basic sewing experience and sewing machine required.

     

    Basket Applique BOM $10 per month plus supplies

    5:30-7:30 3rd Tuesdays, Feb 16-July20

    What a sweet wall quilt, you have to come see it!  Each month you will learn two blocks which feature machine or hand appliqué.  You will work with cotton, wool, velveteen, embroidery and embellishments.  When done you will have 12 basket blocks full of bunnies, birds, sheep, snowmen… get the picture???   Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

     

    Pinwheels on Parade Table Runner $20

    5:30-8:30 Wednesday, Feb 17

    Aren’t those pinwheels cute, but what about getting a sharp center and showing off those little points… this table runner provides an excellent project to perfect your pinwheel skills.  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

     

    Adult Sewing for the Beginner  $25

    You have a sewing machine in the closet, but did not learn to sew from your mom, grandmother or school, what is a creative person to do?  We will teach you how to use your machine and the sewing basics while making a set of pillow cases.  This class will give you the confidence to build your skills and we will be there to help you!  This is for the very beginner, sewing machine required.

     

    ABC Panel Quilt $25

    The panels available now are awesome… but what do you do with them???  Learn how to take a panel and make it into a quilt that doesn’t scream “cheater”!   Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

     

    50/50 Stash Buster $25

    12:30-4:30 Sun, Feb 28

    This quarter we are creating “Bold & Beautiful”, a new quilt that works great with those bold and beautiful new fabrics we are buying now! You will start with a piece from The QG and then add the rest from your stash at home.  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

     

    Frogs in the Pond Quilt $20

    5:30-8:30 Tuesday, Mar 2

    Traditional piecing combined with fun fabrics make a splash on this quilt.  This class will focus on rotary cutting skills, technique and perfection.  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

     

    Beginning Hand Quilting $20

    5:30-8:30 Wednesday, Mar 3

    For those of you that love hand work and want to learn how to ‘rock the needle’, this is the class for you!  We will make a small ‘whole cloth quilt’ and learn the proper way to baste; mark and hand quilt your piece.  When done, you will be prepared to quilt a large quilt.  A true beginners class, no experience needed.

     

    “Fussy” Quilt $25

    10:00-2:00 Saturday, Mar 6

    Have you ever purchased fabric with a character design and didn’t know what to do with it?   Learn how to fussy-cut your fabric and put it into a great looking quilt.  This one also uses a snowball block… can you find it?  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

     

    Wool Ornaments $20 

    12:30-3:30 Sunday, Mar 7

    So many of you are getting a jump start on Christmas for 2010 and this class fits perfectly into that concept!  Create these awesome ornaments using wool, embroidery and bead embellishments.  You will be ahead of the game in 10 months!  Basic sewing and quilting experience necessary.

     

    Beg Hand Embroidery  $20

    5:30-8:30 Tuesday, Mar 9

    Do you need something to do while watching this seasons’ “The Bachelor”, “The Biggest Loser” or “American Idol”?  Pre-stamped embroidery blocks are perfect… other than doing the embroidery, most of the work is done for you.  Learn basic embroidery stitches and how to prepare your blocks, we will also talk about what to do with your blocks when you are done.  A true beginners class, no experience needed.

     

    Popping Pinwheels  $25

    12:00-4:00 Sunday, Mar 14 (daylight savings time starts)

    Double Pinwheels, and they are popping in these chosen fabrics!  Learn how to place blocks ‘on-point’, create clean seam connections that show off those points, and figure out how big to cut those setting triangles on the sides.  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.

     

    Show Off Tablerunner $20

    5:30-8:30 Tuesday, Mar 30

    This table runner is perfect for showing off your great choice of fabrics.  It is not hard to make, in fact, this one can be completed in an afternoon! So, join us as we just have fun making this table runner?  Basic quilting experience and sewing machine required.
